Life-enhancing habits
This week is a very practical break from all the talk of feelings / emotions (don’t worry, we’ll get back to that next week!) because in amongst all the trauma process work it’s actually super important that we pause to develop new and different ways of doing life.
Getting comfortable feeling your feelings
In the psychotherapeutic approaches to therapy that I work with, I spend lots of time navigating three different but equally important ‘compass points’ of a person’s inner world; thoughts (think more about the meaning or beliefs we have around certain events or experiences), physical sensations (what is happening in your physical body – tight chest? Butterflies in your tummy? Hurt in your heart? And lastly, there’s feelings (or emotions).
Mindfulness and meditation

Why journaling is good for you
There have been a whole bunch of studies done on the power of writing out your thoughts. Try googling it.
