Additional Information
Referrals:
Please note that as Counsellors and Psychotherapists we aren’t permitted to take referrals under the Better Access to Mental Health (mental health care plans) scheme. This is something that is being reviewed at a Federal Government level but is sadly outside of our control.
What this means for you is that you don’t need a referral from your GP to see us and you can book in with us easily and without reviews with your GP. Please know that we attempt to make mental health support as accessible as possible and we have set our fees to account for the inability to rebate you for sessions under the scheme, but also respecting the many years of training and professional development our team have undertaken. All of our therapists are at least Master’s degree trained and are registered with either PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia) or ACA (Australian Counselling Association).
Private Health Insurance:
Some of our therapists can provide private health insurance rebates – please check with your insurance provider for details about the level of cover you have.
Cancellation policy:
We request 24 hours’ notice for session cancellations / reschedules otherwise a cancellation fee will apply. Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attended appointments will be charged at full session (100%) rate. We often have waitlists for clients waiting for appointments and it is made more challenging when we don’t get notice of cancellations.
