Sometimes it’s not just about improving your state of wellbeing. There are times when we are just really struggling with all that life throws at us. Maybe it is related to birth trauma, or some other traumatic event that has left you reeling. Or perhaps you’ve been carrying this hurt for a really long time.
This is where a different approach is needed – a safe place where some significant self-work can be done.
As a Counsellor and Psychotherapist my role is to journey with you as we address the underlying issues around:
- depression (including ante/postnatal depression)
- trauma / post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
- fears / phobias / panic attacks
- sleep issues / disturbances
- chronic life stress
- grief and loss
- relationship issues & couples counselling
- intimacy concerns
- self-harm and suicidal thoughts
- workplace concerns
My approach with all counselling clients is a firm belief that you are the expert in your own life. My work is to help you figure out the best path for you right now, drawing on your strengths. The trust and mutual respect that we have for each other in the counselling relationship is paramount and I am always keen to receive feedback, helping me to work in the very best way that I can for you.
I specialise in EMDR therapy and will often also draw on ACT, mindfulness and other somatic modalities depending on your needs. I do work from a very holistic place and often draw on my understanding of the physical body to help work with clients in a counselling space.
My private practice rooms are based in Camberwell, though I also work with international clients via Zoom/Skype.
Intake and assessment session (first session together) – $165 (90 mins)
Subsequent sessions – $110 (60 mins)
